Great Dane ~ noble, benign, faithfull, wrapped with power and elegancy. We haven't even dreamed that her spirit is so powerful and influential, and that this Dane theme will become our main preoccupation and pleasure which turns into a hobby.
We decided to establish Club, to encourage all lovers of this breed to gather in puropse of protection of this breed, and to preserve proper breeding That would ensure better future of Danes in Croatia. Same-minded people have joined and supported Club, and now we work together on realization of this goals. Our breeding is based primarily on dogs health, then caracter and look (by FCI standard No. 235/10.04.2002/D).
Island Hvar (Faros), by which kennel got name is registrated from F.C.I. with number 172/08.
Great Dane Club Of Croatia

The Club was established in order to gather all Dane lovers who have same common interests like promotion, protection and preservation of proper breeding.
The reason of Club establishment is also to educate members, to give various advices, to organize meetings and exhibitions for members, and to cooperate with similar Clubs in Croatia and abroad, especially with EuDDC – Great Dane Club of Europe.

STARI GRAD - FAROS
It was established by Greecks 2300 years ago, in the time of 99th antique Olympics, as an idependent polis Faros. The island was settled from prehistoric time so it is not a wonder that is very rich with remains of the past. As such, it provides journey through centuries to everyone.
